Below are images of the stone sculptures I made this last year. Over all, it was a good year, even though it often seemed like I was walking across a bridge of glass, with fierce cross winds and no guard rails. Still, I feel like I'm doing some of the best work in my life - hoping for even better in 2019! Enjoy and have a great New Year yourself !!!

Awesome blog! What do you do with all the stone chips and rubble you create in the carving process? I just started stone carving (Alabama marble) about a month ago and so far I’ve just been dumping chips and dust outside my apartment.
My smaller limestone chips and dust fill in pot holes in the 1/2 mile long driveway and some of the bigger stuff goes onto making a thicker "base" where the cranes set up. The really big pieces go over a bank to make more flat land for stacking rocks in the stone yard. My marble chips have consistently sold for $0.10 / lb.
