I felt an energy in the area that I can only describe as though someone was keeping an eye on us. Seemed like some spots the feeling was stronger than in other spots. Cool but kinda creepy. We plan to go back and walk all the trails. Very cool place to visit. Pretty nice bridge on the way to the camping area. We saw a variety of interesting rocks during our walk, I think mostly granite. I would recommend checking it out.<br />Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17972425792585141234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3491927225675146144.post-82493700729529180882013-06-17T21:19:52.345-04:002013-06-17T21:19:52.345-04:00There was no mention of Prince Madoc at the Old St...There was no mention of Prince Madoc at the Old Stone Fort. That site fueled our interest in researching Old World contact with Pre-Columbus America. Meg and I went to check out the fort at Devil's Backbone in Charlestown Park on Saturday. We were just in time to listen to a DNR employee (giving a tour)tell the group about the fort and Prince Madoc. She pointed out the sign on a chain that blocked the path to the fort, "No admittance, Park Boundary". So...officially...we didn't go up there. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. don lawlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14796639935630578821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3491927225675146144.post-49890859695701784812013-06-17T11:36:56.130-04:002013-06-17T11:36:56.130-04:00Hi Don...was there any references to the Prince Ma...Hi Don...was there any references to the Prince Madoc legend on site?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
